We wanted to develop a Match Three game with a twist and decided to try going down the horror theme.
The game had to have some of the familiar Match Three elements, but it was designed in a way where you slide the tiles as a row or column rather than the common switch with the neighbouring tile. This allows for some tactical play to be able to line up those special attacks.
This worked particularly well when beating the Wardens and advancing to the "Boss fight" at the end of a location.
There was a unique design for each of the Bosses, one which included the use of the device's camera and several jump scares, for those with a nervous disposition.
Other areas I developed; UI/UX (screen layouts and navigation), implementation of the artists graphics in the Unity menus I created. Visual/particle effects. Screen, element and boss/character animations.
